The surface brown, evidently turned from blue, with scattered light surface oxidation. 31 ¼” curved wedge section blade with long false edge, smooth with mottled staining and distinct patterning, suggesting watered steel construction. According to Pant, Aurangzeb(1658-1707), son of Shah Jahan (builder of the Taj Mahal) made improvements to the Delhishahi hilt including enlarging and dishing the pommel and reducing the quillons.
