Description: The Imperial Glass company made this shallow shell shaped bowl for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It is a copy of Boston and Sandwich flint glass bowl featured in Ruth Webb Lee's Sandwich Glass Handbook, Plate 166. This shell shaped dish measures approximately 9 1/2" long and 7 3/4" wide at the widest point. The pattern, often called "hairpin" displays flowers, stars and diamonds in a lacy like pattern. It is in excellent condition, no chips, flakes, cracks or repairs. It is marked MMA. Please examine the photographs carefully, they are part of the description. Feel free to email with any questions. Thanks.
