Directly replacing the OEM intake system, the intake pipe in this kit features a 3” aluminum pipe routing all the way to the turbo. The airbox design is similar to the stock airbox and comes in a black powder-coated finish. It does, however, facilitate an improved pressure drop due to its open top design that exposes the filter to more air and seals the airbox against the hood. Optimized positioning and use of the factory inlet ducts allows this intake system to take in cooler air right from the front of the car. The intake system has undergone countless miles of road testing and extensive dyno runs to be sure of repeatable performance. It has shown gains of up to 12hp and 15ft-lbs of torque, all on the stock tune! Installation of the intake system is a walk in the park. It does not require any cutting or modifications to factory components and includes necessary hardware. Please Note: An installation torque spec of 22 in-lbs (2.5N*m) is recommended for all worm-gear clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-27 in-lbs (2-3N*m). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 27 in-lbs (3N*m).
