Description: Here's an extremely well-made 3 drawer miniature chest or dresser box with a reddish grain paint over yellow pine. The case and all 3 drawers are finely dovetailed. 2 of the 3 brass key escutcheons are gone. I have no key for the locks. There are a few minor scratches and chips on the surface-- typical of most old painted surfaces. The size is 12 inches wide x 8.75 inches deep x 7.5 inches high. I'm most impressed by the fine cabinet work and the overall condition of the paint. Although it surfaced in Pennsylvania, I believe this piece is Continental in origin, possibly German. This little chest would make a great jewelry or trinket box and would certainly display well with country decor.
