It is a prebonsai and has had some pruning and training to further establish its design and structure. This particular tree is trained in the double trunk style with excellent canopy and trunks. See pictures for details. It has been grown in a 4" round plastic pot and is ready for transplanting whenever you are. The Jade family of trees are native to the Kalihari Desert in southern Africa and receive an average of three inches of rain per year in this climate. They are tough plants and are great for both the beginner as well as an addition to an established bonsai collection. Jades prefer at least 2.5-3 hr of light/day, temperatures between 35-120F and at least a week with bone dry soil before watering again. They enjoy being outdoors as long as night temperatures are a few degrees above freezing. A tough resilient, easy to care for bonsai species. A great species for both the beginner and experienced growers.
