It sports a black USA made David Morgan double line, braided kangaroo hat band (those things are pretty pricey alone today). Gus hats just don't get any cooler than this one. Check that premium upgraded sweatband. The hat is super clean and is in virtually pristine condition as it was probably worn no more than a half dozen times. It has always been stored/protected properly and has ZERO insect/moth damage. This is yesteryear's quality 10x. Not today's. It has an excellent "hand" to it and simply feels and looks like a far more expensive hat. A little Texas Gulf Coast Cowboy Hat/"The Hat Store" History: Gary Cohen shaped this hat (and as always, it looks like it came out of a mold). Gary's grandfather started the American Hat Company in downtown Houston in 1915. So basically, Gary is Texas Cowboy Hat royalty. He started his hat business odyssey at about age 13 (circa 1960) and owned/operated "The Hat Store" for around 50 years. Gary didn't do anything halfway, and he chose Milano to make his "house brand" hats for good reason. They made top-flight stuff. Gary retired a few years ago, but The Hat Store in Houston lives on.
