I do not use stock photos or photos of other people's items, unless otherwise indicated.This is a Queen Victoria era mourning brooch of car ved Whitby jet with dangling acorns popular in the middle years of Queen Victoria's reign, circa 1860s. The bar is a single piece of jet car ved to resemble seven balls. Two balls are car ved with six pointed stars and the middle ball has a band of diagonal stripes. Each of the three dangling acorns have matte finish tops and polished "nuts". The conforming bar and acorn backs appear to be rolled gold. The tube hinged pin may be a later replacement. Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described here-with, minor flaws and normal wear are not. Unless the item is described as new, assume there will be minor flaws or wear commensurate with a used item of given age. If Free Shipping is offered it will be by the cheapest method possible, for books that will be Media Mail.
