He then sets out on a mission to conquer the girl’s heart, keeping his identity secret, to ensure she loves him and not his wealth or position. He finds a way to approach her family and offers to defray the costs of keeping the car by leasing as a taxi driver. And it’s as an alleged driver, that he and Vera go through a number of wacky adventures, all caused by his traveling incognito. The 1935 British film, Car of Dreams, was based on this film.
