Decorated with a floral design and geometric shapes.Made by Seiji Kaisha (The Pure Water Company), Japan, c. 1880’s.396 g1.5 cm tall20.8 x 20.8 cmIn 1879 Seiji Kaisha or the Pure Water Company, was founded by the original four members of Koransha; Tezuka Kamenosuke, Tsujii Katsuzo, Fukaumi Suminosuke and his brother, Takeji in Arita, who were at one time associated with Koransha or, The Scented Orchid Porcelain Company. The Seiji Kaisha Company with a modern factory produced highly competitive porcelain and dinner wares for the Western market, same as Koransha.Very good antique condition. Some scuffing to the surface of the glaze; scuffing along the edge of the rim; 3 small chips to the underside of the rim.
