Description: Excellent quality king & queen figurine pair. Both are on interesting throne bases. Beautifully modeled and hand painted under the glaze. Well done facial features and hair give these a charming realistic look. The queen has a bird in her hands. The king had something in his hands that is now missing. It is not super noticeable that something is missing. If you put a drop of thin white paint or mail polish on top of this spot it would be impossible to tell. They are a good size at approximately 7.5” tall. Fresh out of a good estate collection. They are reminiscent of Staffordshire pottery. They also resemble some Capodimonte style Italian pottery. They are not signed. Definitely well made pieces that wouldn’t have been inexpensive when new. I’d guess they were made circa 1940-1980 or so. Ships ASAP! Thanks
