Description: Medallion Open Sugar Bowl Sterling Silver Wood And Hughes 1870 Stunning American sterling silver open sugar bowl with pedestal base, applied medallion decorations and figural scroll, laurel and floral design stylized bar handles. Made by Wood & Hughes c.1870. This stunning open sugar bowl measures 7 1/2" across the handles, 5 1/2" wide, 6" tall, and weighs 10 ozt. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering. There are minor wrinkles in the bowl.
