Description: Lovely mid-century miniature original oil painting of a ballerina en pointe in a flowing white dress. Painting is signed MELIA (please see photo of another miniature oil of a ballet dancer by the same artist which recently sold at the end of 2023 on a different platform). The back of this painting is stamped AN ORIGINAL PAINTING IN OILS and a sticker reads: HAND PAINTED MADE IN ENGLAND. The back also bears the vintage price tag from J L Hudson Co., a fashionable Detroit department store of that era. Painting is framed in a square shaped, mid-century styled beveled wood frame. This currently does not have a hanging wire but there are two holes on the back to easily install new hanging hardware or the small art piece also sits nicely on a shelf.
