Description: Mid Century Modern Eternally Yours 1847 Rogers Bros Silverware Silverplated 56 Piece Flatware. Pre Owned. Normal wear for being at least 50 years old! When researching, I noticed that some listings were stating that these were from the 1800's and others not. I went to the Rogers Bros website and according to that, this design was produced between 1941 and 1973. The following was taken from their website, in regards to the 1847 trademark. It also explains the IS mark, which stands for International Silver Co. "In November of 1862, an agreement was made with Meriden Britannia Company for the three Rogers [Asa, Simeon, and William] to come to Meriden to superintend the manufacturing of their famous silverplate. The trademark to be used was "1847 Rogers Bros." and this was the first year the numerals "1847" were used with "Rogers Bros."
