Description: c. 1960s/1970s; Art Metal-Knoll Corp. - New York Mid-century modern swiveling tulip stool. This piece, designed by Eero Saarinen, features a similar style to tulip tables also designed by Saarinen. The wide base tapers heavily inward before splaying out again at the top. The cushion appears to be made of woven wool and comes in a shade of cornflower blue. Bottom of base includes a felt ring to prevent damage to floors. Original tag dates the purchase of this piece to October 1970, though it was likely manufactured prior to that.
