Description: Carstens Tonnieshof Gray-blue Gold drip glaze pottery Jug West Germany Pitcher. This fun little pitcher/jug is probably intended for creamer. It would also be great as a small vase or displayed with your mid-century decor. The base is a satin, nearly matte gray with a very sight blue hint to it. It has fairly thick yellow and white drips overlayed by gold speckles. The interior is glazed with a dark brown/bronze color. CONDITION NOTES: I found no cracks or chips. ***There is wear to the gold edge around the rim.*** I found other pieces with the same finish as this one, one had the original gold foil label with is where I got my attribution to Carstens-Tonnieshof. My best guess is this piece, with form number 433 was produced sometime between 1955-1965. The mark on the bottom is raised, rather than indented.
