Description: Lee and Pup McCarty began making their famous pottery in 1954. All McCarty pottery was made by hand from Mississippi mud. This piece has the beautiful cobalt blue glaze that is so highly sought after! Each piece of pottery is unique and no two are alike. This bowl / coffee / tea cup happens to be one of the older pieces made by the McCartys and you can tell because it has the "stripe" representing the Mississippi River and this piece, like many of the very old pieces, went unsigned. I purchased this directly from Lee and Pup in Merigold, MS. This piece measures 2 3/4" tall and 4" across at the top, see the pictures for exact measurements. Look at all pictures for complete details and know this is the exact item you are buying. I have carefully inspected this piece and find it completely flawless and in beautiful condition.
