They are new/unused. The product boxes have slight damage/wear. These run on two CR2032 batteries. The batteries are replaceable. Before the first use, the user will need to open the alarms by pressing up on the front plastic piece & removing the separator film between the contact & the batteries. The alarms run for 60 minutes on 1 set of batteries. Each alarm comes with 2 generic CR2032 batteries. The iMaxAlarm Illume is an easy to use personal security device.
