Description: Martin Committee 1954 Trumpet DescriptionMedium bore, original lacquer finish. This is a Martin trumpet Committie Vintage, used by Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Art Farmer, Dizzy Gillespie, Kenny Dorham, and many others. This instrument has a light blowing feel and high response, and can achieve a variety of expression from a smoky sound to a bright sound. When used as a solo instrument, it responds to Martin Committie's distinctive, grainy, and sprightly phrasing. It is no wonder that Jazz Giants loved this instrument.The mouth pipe and the lower part of the piston have been changed to other Martin Committie parts. There is some damage on the rear curve of the bell. There is a repair history on the bell. The braze connecting the bell body to the valve casing has been re-soldered. Please check the attached pictures for details. I bought it at a certain K musical instrument several years ago. I am giving it away in the hope that someone else can use it.It has been modified in many places, but the slide is not sticking and the piston is working well.
