Description: This is a small pamphlet of a Statement made by Chairman Mao Tse-Tung of China, May 20, 1970, following President Nixon's announcement that U.S. military forces had invaded Cambodia. The wide-spread worldwide protests over that expansion of the Vietnam War, including four students shot and killed at Kent State University in Ohio, along with China's long standing support for the royal family of Cambodia and of the three Indochinese wars against the U.S. and its allies, precipitated the 1970 statement by Chairman Mao. The distribution and circulation of the Statement was not long-lasting inasmuch as initial feelers for a visit to China by Pres. Nixon soon were under way, a visit which occurred only 21 months after this Statement. Thus, this booklet is rarely available and is a highly prized collectible, the last truly political blast at the U.S. from Chairman Mao. Shipping is free to addresses in the U.S.A. The booklet is in mint condition.
