Description: Offered is a blooming size, healthy, Arabian Nights Cymbidium Orchid with a new flower spike. You can see the gorgeous, long-lasting flowers and the actual plant you will receive in our Photo Gallery. Photos 1 - 7 are from our collection, so that you can see the flowers and the size of the plant. The photos following # 7 are of the actual plant offered here. We have taken these photos from different angles so that you can get a good look at this Arabian. In our location, when the Arabian Nights Cymbidium plant develops a flower spike, the buds emerge from the spike in March with flowers opening a few weeks after that. This recent division is of the cool climate variety, grown outdoors in the Coastal Region of Northern California. The original plant was first acquired in the 1970's from a grower in Santa Cruz, California - called "Shaffer's Tropical Flowers" (no longer in Santa Cruz). It bore the tag "Arabian Nights." Arabian Nights is a name currently accepted by the RHS. Their website states that Arabian Nights is a hybrid originated in 1958 by Stewart Inc and is a cross of Cym Sussex x Cym Balkis. Arabian Nights is likely our largest Cymbidium. It has big pseudo bulbs, long (2 - 3 foot) leaves, and flower spikes that average 2-3 feet long. We have had some 4 foot spikes. It is a vigorous grower and bloomer. The bag is durable and lightweight. When you open the shipping box, place the bag into a pot that will support your orchid until it has finished blooming. The Cymbidium Grow Bag functions as well as any container, so you can choose to leave the plant in the bag until it should be divided (2- 4 years), OR remove your plant from the bag and repot into your preferred pot. DO KEEP the root system intact if you choose to repot. There is excellent information available regarding the care and propagation of this delightful orchid. Just copy and paste: Cymbidiums Cool Climate Beauties into your web search. This is on the American Orchid Society web site. USPS states that Priority mail shipping takes 1- 4 business days to arrive, and we want to do what we can to have it reach you within that time frame. If you are concerned about very cold or hot temperatures in your location, we prefer to delay shipment until those conditions improve. During adverse weather conditions that affect transportation, USPS can delay delivery. During these periods, orchids can be stuck in USPS transportation hubs (in unknown environmental conditions) for over a week - this outcome benefits no one. In our location, your orchids are healthy, growing and safe. We are happy to provide this service for you. Please contact us by email. -------------------------------- Returns: Not accepted.
