Description: Here you have a Great Bit of Vintage Historical Memorabilia! Please...SEE THE SCANS! This is lynching and racism featured inside of a complete 1895 issue of LITERARY DIGEST Magazine! This issue includes the article "ITALIAN SUBJECTS LYNCHED IN COLORADO". Nice 2–page article about Italians lynched by a mob of miners in Walsenburg, Colorado. This discusses the response of the Italian government and harkens back to an 1891 massacre of Italians in New Orleans. There are, of course, many other interesting features here… including: “THE COLOR LINE IN VIRGINIA AND MASSACHUSETTS” in which a committee of the Massachusetts Legislature was sent to Virginia to inquire about cotton mills. One member of the committee was an African American and this tells how he was forced to find separate lodging in Virginia, and then was subjected to the racism of Virginia’s Governor O’Ferrall… This is a wonderful time capsule. It is in fine condition with typical vintage corner and edge wear. It's not mint, but gently read and a rare find! A great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you! Winner, please add $5.50 for postage and wonderful packaging. International buyers will pay first class international postage. GOOD LUCK! Please Check Out My Ebay Store For More Vintage Memorabilia!
