Description: Louis C. Crews - Coach of the Year Trophy 1961 A&M Bulldogs - Normal, Alabama, and some other items: These items came from an estate sale at the home of Louis C. Crews, head coach of the Alabama A & M Bulldogs from 1960-1975. The house was right across the street from the campus in Normal, Alabama (Near Huntsville). The current football stadium near there is named after coach Crews. 1) A coach of the Year trophy - "Presented to Louis C. Crews by A. & M. A. & S. Fund 12-16-61" - 21" tall by 10" wide. Brown plastic and brass. One of the 2 eagles on the base is missing. Player holding football is kneeling on the top. 2) Framed plaque awarded to Louis C. Crews by the Youth Chorus of Brandontown Church of Christ, 3 May 1983. 3) The book "Football Fables" by Stan W. Carlson, 1949 Revised, Enlarged Edition. Has Lewis Crews name written inside the front cover. The book is mostly clean, tight but has a few small marks inside and some age tanning. Orange hardcover has a few dark spots and stains.
