He was a 7 time All-Star, 6-time World Series Champion, 2 time AL MVP, Triple Crown 1934, AL Batting Champion, 3 time AL Home Run Leader and 5- time AL RBI Leader, Hit 4 home runs in one game June 3, 1932, Most consecutive games played 2,130 a record later broken by Cal Ripken Jr. in 1995. Known as "The Iron Horse", he took himself out of the lineup during the May 2, 1939 game, ending his consecutive game streak, due to his sluggish performances due to ALS disease, later to be known in the U.S. as "Lou Gehrigs Disease". The bat length is 34", and is stamped 34 on the knob, with the Louisville Slugger 125, Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Made In U.S.A. Louisville, Ky, "Powerized" stamped brand in the center of the bat and Genuine Lou Gehrig Louisville Slugger on the sweet spot of the barrel.
