Description: Est 1950s-60s pair of amber glass decanters in wooden tantalus. The tantalus was originally designed to safely lock away precious and expensive liquor from the household staff during the period from 1850 to 1900. This is the Made in Japan version that provides the look but not the security. More for fun on a bar or in a man cave - a little bit kitschy. There is a latch and a small lock (key not present). Holds a pair of amber colored glass decanters with tightly sealing plastic stoppers (no chips or cracks in glass). Size: Wood case approx. 11.5 inches (29 cm) high, 8.5 inches (21.5 cm) wide and 4 inches (10 cm) deep. Bottles with stoppers are 7.25 inches (18.5 cm) high, 3.25 inches (7.5 cm) wide/deep.
