Description: Lobdell Nazel Hammer Book, by the Lobdell Company, Wilmington, DE. Reprinted in 2014 by Nation Builder Books, Mebane, NC. 8½ x 11 paperback, 23 pages. Please note this is a new photoduplicated reproduction, not an original. Originally established in 1836 as the Lobdell Car Wheel, Tire and Machine Co., with a foundry built in the north shore of the Christina River in Wilmington, Delaware. By the middle of the nineteenth century, Lobdell had become one of the nation's foremost manufacturers of chilled cast-iron railroad car wheels. In 1939, Lobdell acquired the Nazel Engineering and Machine Co. of Philadelphia. Nazel had been formed in 1909 to manufacture pneumatic forging hammers under a license acquired from the German company Beche & Grohs. The catalog pictures and describes Nazel’s power hammers for sale, including: No. 1 Type B, No. 2 Type B, No. 3 Type B, No. 4 Type N, No. 5 Type N, No. 6 Type N, No. 4 Type I, No. 5 Type I, No. 6 Type I. No. 10 Type S, No. 11 Type S, No. 12 Type S, No. 13 Type S, No. 14 Type S. Please note: no returns accepted. Sorry, but this is in reaction to eBay's new policies which really screw sellers on return shipping. I encourage you to contact eBay and complain.
