Description: For sale is a Lionel #2343 (6-38312) Conventional Classics remake of the popular Santa-Fe F3 set from the early 1950's. This engine is in excellent operating condition. Features include die-cast frame, two powerful Pullmor AC motors, Magne-Traction, headlights on both ends, operating couplers, three-position reversing unit with lock-out switch and a realistic electronic operating horn and bell. Includes nostalgic retro Lionel boxes for the powered and non-powered unit, master carton for both units, wrapping paper, and other paperwork. The outer shipping carton is beat up because it has been used for shipping. If you collect pristine shipping cartons, this listing is not for you. If you are looking for a beautiful set of diesels, this set is a must-have! One other important note: When Lionel originally produced these diesels they made a mistake on the painting of the shells. As produced by the factory, the red paint was a flat, dull, milky finish. This is what you get when you buy most sets on Ebay, and it is always what you get when you purchase a "new" set. After releasing this set, Lionel produced replacement shells in response to complaints and these were made available to replace the original ones. This set has the correct replacement shells.
