Description: Lionel 50 Gang Car In Original Box - Mint - Rare As i near the end of selling off mt collection, i am beginning to let go of the really good stuff, the ones I really wanted to keep. But it's time, all things come to an end. Up for sale one of my personal favorites, the 50 Gang car. What I love about this car is it has an auto reverse feature - meaning when it hits a bumper, the car automatically reverses direction, the driver quickly turns the other way, and off t goes down the reack to the other end to repeat the process. This guy will go back and forth all day. this is a great way to add a second separate single line of track that makes and snakes its way through your main layout, or is just a long single straight side track- but what's great is you do not have to connect the ends or make a loop - just a bumper at each end send it back the other way, ad infinitum. The track just needs a separate power source, I used a small transformer thet I hid inside a power station, worked like a charm. Because it's a stand alone single line track you can have a lot of fun with the placement, shape and direction. Car is in really beautiful condition with actually vert little track time - I have a trolly running on the track most of the time. Its in neat perfect condition except for one thing, one of the riders does not want to stay put on his little peg. It's not the action turning passenger, one of the static ones. A small drop of glue would do the trick, but I leave that decision up to the new owner. Please look at all the photos, zoom in and see how clean, ding free, and sharp this car looks, and how tarnish free the underside is from low mileage. It passed a bench test, but again, we all know there are no guarantees or warrantees In this model train world (except when purchased brand new from a dealer) they can go out of service and need a repair at any time so what you see is what you get. Luckily repairs are easy and evert manual is online so answers are at your fingertips on problem solving. Again, these auto reverse Gang Cars are a whole lot of fun, and if you do not have one, I highly recommend getting one, I think snaking the freestanding track in and our of the main layout was close to the most fun I had.
