Superbly engineered and manufactured from high quality laser cut 10mm high gloss cast acrylic. The Armboard compliments the LP12 perfectly and the turntable tone arm assembly looks absolutely stunning. Very easy and straightforward to install, there are no structural alterations and no drilling required to fit the Audio Classique Armboard and no specialised tools needed, the allen key for attaching the Armboard is even included with the fixing kit. The Rega Tone arm mounting has been re-engineered and provides a highly effective but simple integrated mounting arrangement allowing the Tonearm to be secured from above, no need to mess around with fiddly nuts and bolts. Alternatively the Armboard can be used whilst employing the standard Rega fixing arrangement if desired . Recent Feedback for my Linn Armboards Sound was clearer and more dynamic while maintaining high level of musicality The fit and finish of the Armboard is excellent and it was exceptionally easy to mount up, courtesy of the insert threads. I have opted for the inserts for the arm base and used the 3mm screws you supplied. I expect the rigidity of the Armboard has contributed to the greater detail and 'authority' of the 'new' LP12. The Armboard matches the height and profile of the original perfectly. If you already have a Rega tone arm fitted to your LP12 the Armboard can usually be quickly and easily swapped without the need to adjust the LP12. The caste acrylic construction is the ultimate base for the tone arm, and being firmly attached to the sub-chassis provides a highly desirable totally rigid Sub-chassis/Armboard assembly. This rigid Armboard/Sub-chassis assembly is the most important feature of the Audio Classique Armboard, however not only is the Audio Classique Armboard a straight swap for the original and uses the original sub-chassis mountings holes, the Armboard has a discrete integrated sub-chassis mounting system secured by stainless steel cap head screws. This feature allows the Armboard to be removed time and again for maintenance and cartridge changing without ANY fear of wood screws stripping or becoming loose.
