Hathikana supposedly means "having elephant ears". This small shrub, native to Asia, has dramatic foliage and would stand out in your garden. Though reportedly edible, it is also said to not be very palatable. Some sources say the plant is hardy to USDA zone 7b, or 5F, but I haven't tested this for myself.
