However, realizing that many reloaders what to reload similar calibers (Such as 38 Special/357 Magnum) with the same die set, these Combination die sets were created. The sizing and expanding dies will work the same for either caliber but the seating die will have to be backed out to relocate the crimp when loading the longer cartridge.
