The bulb operates from 12 volts DC, with a nominal power of 1 watt. The light output is 40 lumens nominal with a dominant wavelength of 487nm near the cyan region. The WEC1 Control:The WEC1 (Water Effects Control) provides 6 dynamic modes of wave and ripple lighting effects. Each mode has 20 speed steps. Speeds can produce fast ripple effects and slower speeds can produce slow moving waves. The control also has a static dimming mode. The modes are: 1. Wave / Ripple (Shallow) 2. Wave / Ripple (Storm) 3. Wave / Ripple (Average) 4. Wave (Rough Surf) 5. Wave (Storm Swells) 6. Wave (Deep Swells) 7. Static dimming The control has a maximum LED lighting load of 12 watts, the maximum current at 12 volts DC is 1 amp. The control is equipped with DC barrel connectors of the 2.1mm x 5.5mm size. The connector polarity is center +V positive. The control retains its last setting when the power is disconnected, or the on / off function is used. The battery holder:The battery holder fits 8 AA size batteries to provide 12 volts DC the wave effects control and Ocean Blue Bulb. The light kit can be expected to operate more than 12 hours on fresh alkaline batteries. The batteries should be removed from the unit for storage. (Batteries not included).
