Item Condition: We are offering for sale a really pretty L.E. Smith large Standing Terrier powder jar. This pretty powder box is in Undamaged (like new) Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage. This jar is very scarce. Jars like this were filled with powder and then sold. After the powder was gone they could be re-filled, or used as jewelry or trinket boxes. The Standing Terrier was made in the 1930s. Large Standing Terrier (1930s) This "Standing Terrier" powder jar was made by the L. E. Smith Glass Company. It is an example of a small-size finial on a large-size jar. This combination is very unusual. Crystal satin, pink satin and transparent pink and green are the only colors that have been reported.
