Description: Original Japanese WWII "Last Ditch" Bayonet. Wood scabbard held together with glued string is damage free, this example has been heavily lacquered which has probably helped in preserving the fine condition. The bayonet was made by Toyoda under Nagoya supervision. Wooden handle appears damage free but again has been heavily lacquered without interfering with the release button. Blade is straight and non fullered with minor signs of oxidation. Handle measures 4 1/4" without any signs of wood loss.
