Description: Late 1970's Slingerland Festival Snare Drum - 5x14 COS, 8 Lug. Vintage Nice drum Chrome Over Steel. All original except snare bottom head. Rapid snare strainer is nice and operates very smoothly. There are some minor fine small specks on the panels around the drum, but I have cleaned the drum and was able to pull off most of the grim that was on the snare. All the chrome shines bright. Slingerland badge, nice and tight to shell. Serial # 420315, dating the drum to 79 era. Really nice, loud, but sensitive and yet dynamic snare drum. Original batter head has life, but I'll leave it to the next owner to determine that. Sometimes, these older vintage heads sound better than a new one. They are seated nicely and just sound darn good. All photos are considered part of the description, and this is a used drum that is roughly 40+ years old.
