Description: Large Meissen Figural Compote Tazza These stunning Meissen compote dates to the mid to late 19th Century. Two entwined Putti stand on a rocky base supporting a lattice quatrefoil dish encrusted with flowers and foliage. Beautifully detailed piece. Crossed swords with pommel mark, painter's mark 28, as well as A 49 incised. Large and heavy. Approx 16"H X 11"W. Condition: Excellent condition other than expected damage to foliage, some type of reinforcement or repair to bottom of bowl juncture, otherwise minor imperfections to be expected.
