The lot featured original 1960's production used concept art paintings from Land of the giants, 20,000 leagues under the sea, man from the 25th century, the big circus, in 5 weeks in a balloon all done by the great Irwin Allen.This is an original concept art painting from THE LAND OF THE GIANTS hand-painted by Irwin Allen himself (1968-1970). It features the two main characters in the cockpit of the SPINDRIFT !!!.This painting has been featured in multiple magazines such as " Creature Feature 2019 and" the fantasy worlds of Irwin Allen. Stuff like this has never hit the market before. This is a large painting 22 1/2 x 32 1/4 with mat. This piece was purchased from one of the number one auction houses in the world. I will include some documentation of the sale and a COA IS INCLUDED . If you're a Land of the Giants collector this is absolutely as good as it gets. This painting was done in oil, tempura, and graphite with varnish covered by a hinge transparent mylar overlay. Irwin was responsible for voyage to the bottom of the sea, Lost in space, landed the giants, Poseidon venture, the towering inferno, Time tunnel and many many more movies and TV shows.
