Description: Up for your consideration is this Antique Amber Poison Bottle for Atropine Sulphate Powder from Eli Lilly & Co. Indianapolis U.S.A. Embossed POISON on two panels & serrated edges it stands approx. 2 3/4” tall x about 1 5/8” wide x 1” deep & is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It still has its original paper label & labeled cork intact, but any contents would be well out of date, so it's being sold as a collectible display piece & seller is not responsible for any misuse or mishandling of this bottle. It is embossed on two sides; POISON with a 79 on the base. The front has 2 panels and the back is rounded with vertical rows of bumps on the front and sides. These bumps were a standard practice in poison bottles so people would feel the raised lumps in the low candle light of the era to identify the danger of this medicine. It is machine made and probably dates to the 1910’s. Please view the photos for your own determination of condition as items are sold as seen as found. Clean from a pet free, smoke free environment.
