Description: I have up for sale a wonderful vintage original , I believe the mid to late1930s , Kodak Nagel 33 Folding Camera with gorgeous wood case. The wood appears to be mahogany , it was meant to screw onto a tripod as it will not stand on its own once opened for use. The wood case is very handsome and stands approx 7-1/2" tall , it stands on little rubber feet . It measures approx 5-3/4" wide and 3-1/8" deep , weighs 3 lbs 2 oz. I belive that the case would have been a custom special order. The camera is being sold As Is , untested - sold it as you see it. This is what a much more knowledgeable person then myself wrote me - Your camera is a Kodak Nagel 33 that has been converted from 9x12 cm sheet film to 4x5 inch sheet film, it's not missing any back, the film holder is held in place with a rubber band , you have a wonderful DIY 4x5 camera that has been converted from a German 9x12 from the 1930's , you can see more cameras like your DIY 4x5 on Pinterest The camera is fitted into the wood case , I see no way to remove it . I would have to believe that this was a special order or an import in the least. The case is very handsome as you can see. I believe the wood is mahagony , but either way it has gorgeous graining. The lens is a Kodak Anastigmat F-4.5 135 mm / Compur Lens. I do not know if the camera itself can be removed from the wood case , I don't see how and I don't feel comfortable tinkering with it to be honest. What you see is what you will receive. I have no way to test the camera's functionality and am selling As Is - What you see is What you get.
