New brush roll (no belt) will fit Kirby Classic, to Legend II Kirby Models. This brush roll is about 14 1/2" long to fit the 16" nozzle. If your Kirby is not picking up the way it should, and the bag is not over-filled, a bad belt and or a worn brush roll are usually at fault This Brush Roll has sealed ball bearings, and magnet for sensor light. Kirby has discontinued making this without the magnet. This new design does not have a solid axle and bushings that always get bound up with hair and thread. Kirby Introduced the ball bearing brush roll with the Generation III in 1989. It proved to be so trouble free that they finally made a ball bearing brush roll for the older machines. This design will not become bound up with hair causing belt to wear and poor cleaning. This brush roll is adjusted by turning the end screws till about 1/8 inch bristle extends beyond the rug plate. To keep the weight down on this part I package it in a strong Dupont Tyvek envelope. The default shipping option is First Class, if your need if faster you may select Priority. Because the weight of this part is at the First Class limit any additional purchase will require Priority shipping, you may wish to request an invoice after making those additional purchases.
