Description: Made from 100% 6AL4v titanium, hand fit and hand sculpted. The frame has a nice bead blasted and tumbled finish that will wear well with time and use. Hand hollow ground blade in CPM154, wears a satin stonewashed finish and makes use of the licensed Spyderco Hole for smooth and easy opening. Very flickable, the folder locks up securely at about 30% on face with a clean release from it's carbidized lock. Further lockbar stabilization and overtravel protection is accomplished by the installation of the industry standard Hinderer Lock, also used under license from Rick Hinderer. A throwback build, bringing back a design Dave hasn't made in years in a texture treatment that began decades ago. The Hawthorne design dating back to 2014, was an exercise in creating a medium size hard use and extremely practical folder for EDC. The curved frame geometry allows the knife to tuck back nicely into a pocket when carried, and reveals a modified drop point blade with an impressive amount of belly and cutting edge for it's size when open. Ergonomically very comfortable in the hand, the sweeping curve to the design also orientates the tip and forward most cutting edge below the knuckle line and into the cutting task. Blade Length 3.25”
