The glass parts are carefully tooled borosilicate glass with dark, easy-to-read volume markings. Item includes one each of the following components, with catalogue numbers of replacement items (some sold in multiples) given in parentheses: Glass buret body (#17021J-50): This straight-bore tube is calibrated to deliver (TD) at 20° and measures approximately 605 mm in length. Black enamel graduations (every 0.1 mL) and labels (50 to 0 mL) are easy to see, with wrap-around markings every 1 mL. Please see the Condition Description for a discussion about whether the top of the tube has been altered. Lubri-Flo PTFE compression fit stopcock insert (#41006F-2): Construction is self-lubricating, so no grease is required. Bore is 2 mm. Compatible with Kimble 17021H series burets (25 or 50 mL). Can also be used with Kimble 17800 and 17810 series Chromatography Columns and Kimble 29050-H and 29060-H series Separatory Funnels. Precision-ground buret tip (#17034H-99): Inserts into bottom of stopcock, easily replaced if buret is dropped. Item does not include a KIM-KAP dust cap that goes on the top of the tube. Ships disassembled. The PTFE stopcock assembly must be wetted before inserting it into the bottom of the glass tube, and it would not be a bad idea when inserting the glass tip on the other side.
