Description: A nice example of a Keuffel & Esser Paragon surveyor’s or engineer’s transit scope and compass with dovetailed wooden case with brass corners, Model P5085C, Serial number 127867. Dates to the early 20th century (we believe it to be circa 1907 based on serial number) in very good overall condition, with some case edge loss, minor imperfections, and light wear commensurate with age and use. Model & Serial number appears on the label inside the box door, and the serial & patent pending number are stamped on the scope base. The carrying strap is broken.
