Completely cleaned inside and out is a must to remove all that old contamination from years of use. All air port holes are clean and free flowing for proper combustion and air flow. This part requires a complete and thorough cleaning to prevent old kerosene odors and smoke from ruining your home. Never buy a used kerosene heater that hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in the heat mantle or fuel tank. BOTH are necessary to prevent problems for the new owner. The 2 long metal support cross pins are solid an strong. I have seen some in the past that were rusted and ready to break but these are perfect. Very important that this is completely clean!! Very important to have the inside completely clean of all old residue to prevent foul odors and also the top of the outside clean and shinny to reflect the heat up the tower. Also pictured is the heater top cover that was thoroughly cleaned inside and out. This is where kerosene heaters collect contamination that if not cleaned will smell up your home. This one is spotless!!! Again...this heater overall was like new when I started so this process was much easier to do. Picture 9 I was amazed how nice this heater was in when I received it. This picture shows the top of the heat tower with an open top for placing a pan or kettle of water to add moisture to the room that kerosene heater naturally remove. Also great for emergency cooking for power outages!! Along with 2 awesome extra large mica windows to brighten up a room with a beautiful moonlight glow and your all set for emergencies with heat and light. Newer heaters being sold today have large, oversized cages that do not allow you to access the top for a kettle or pot. These heaters were well liked because of this convenience and overall small size. NOTICE the very small cage that surrounds this heater being a perfect size for protection and not oversized like the big bulky ones on the newer heaters being sold. Picture 10 "MOST IMPORTANT PICTURES FOR BUYING ANY KEROSENE HEATER"!!! INSIDE OF HEATER TANKS MUST BE PERFECT!!! Completely Rust Free, Corrosion Free, and Contamination Free!! This pictures show this heaters base tank interior and bottom that is in very good condition with no contamination, rust or bad seams. Inside was cleaned and scrubbed. CLEAN throughout and was scrubbed and inspected all around inside and out. Other sellers do not do this!! NOTICE the exceptionally clean top post that is as clean as a whistle. I removed the top post plate so that I can clean the underneath area's of the plate and the post lip. ORIGINAL manufacturers labels in place. NOTICE that the fuel gauge and fuel cap were removed for cleaning and their rubber gaskets cleaned and inspected. This tank is absolutely perfect and appears to be BRAND NEW!! Also notice the top plate was removed and cleaned both sides. This is where old contamination sits and collects which prevents the wick from functionally properly and also gives off that nasty contamination odor if not clean. This is now good for another 50 years!!**NEVER BUY A USED KEROSENE HEATER WITHOUT MAKING SURE THE INSIDE TANK IS SPOTLESS!! Pictures 11-12 This is the VERY IMPORTANT emergency extinguisher unit that will smother the wick flame if the heater is tipped or jarred. This is perfect for safety and is engaged when the heaters metal balancer is tilted or jarred. The balancer is seen on the left side of the extinguisher unit and controls the emergency extinguisher. When tipped the balancer will tilt and the emergency extinguisher will quickly cover the wick and flame for complete extinguishing by smothering the flame. Picture 13 shows the extinguisher completely covering the wick. To reset the extinguisher simply slide the reset lever, on the right side of the base tank, towards the front (as indicated by the arrow on the heaters base tank, to reset the emergency extinguisher, as seen in picture 14. Simple and easy!! This is a well made and vey heavy duty extinguisher that will last a lifetime and very important part of any kerosene heater. * Picture 11 shows the balancer located on the left side of the heaters tank.* Picture 12 shows the reset lever being reset by simply moving the lever forward. Picture 13 Bottom Drip Tray is in AWESOME SHAPE. SOLID, STRONG AND NO HOLES. Bottom Drip Tray's take more abuse then any other part of the heater because they are moved around and get scratched and also many people store these in damp basements or garages that cause rust holes BUT NOT IN THIS CASE!! There were some minor scratches and stains so I Sanded/Prime Painted both sides with Rustoleum High Gloss Brown Primer/ Paint for long life and to make this heater look much better. The bottom drip tray is designed to seat under the heater and held in place with the tabs, that are solid and strong. The tray is just slightly larger than the heaters base tank to catch any spilled kerosene if needed. This prevents rug or floor damage from kerosene. Many times people over fill their tanks so this is very important to make sure you have a bottom drip tray in place. Pictures 14-16 BRAND NEW KEROWORLD WICK was installed in this heater and will last a very long time. Brand New KEROWORLD IGNITER was installed in this heater for long life and easy electric lighting when you install 2 "D" size batteries (not included) and push the lever, located on the front of the heater, to light the wick. This sale also includes my Easy Wick Cleaning Guide that explains how to easily clean your wick in one minute and with the use of the KeroKlean Treatment your wick will operate clean, efficient and with less odors. Picture 14 shows the Brand New Wick, Igniter and Exceptionally Clean Wick Adjuster, and the perfect rubber gasket that keeps kerosene inside the tank, where it is supposed to be. Picture 15 shows the wick installed and igniter working nicely. Picture 17 - 18 VERY IMPORTANT WICK ADJUSTER INFORMATION: The wick adjuster is the heart of the heater and controls the wick completely. This heater has the easiest wick adjuster to operate by simply turning the knob clockwise, all the way up, and then light the wick with the igniter button. THATS IT!!! SOUNDS EASY BECAUSE IT IS!! To lower the wick to adjust the flame .....just turn the lever counter clockwise and your done!! Easy again.... To turn off the heater completely, simply keep turning the knob all the way to the left, counterclockwise, until it stops, pull out the knob and continue turning down!! Simple and Easy again. The stop is in place to prevent the user from turning the wick down too much while under operation. This allows you to have a high flame or lower flame for reduced heating. These wick adjusters are very well made to last over 50 plus years. Picture 17 is showing the inside of the wick adjuster, clean and like brand new!! NOTICE the sharp small tabs inside the wick adjuster. These tabs hold the wick in place and makes a wick changing a breeze because all you have to do is pull out the old wick and install the new wick into these tabs. Simply line up the bottom of the orange band with the bottom of the wick adjuster and your all set!! Simple and Easy!! Much easier than the new heaters being sold today with the pins, and metal wick sleeve, That needs to be lined up perfectly. New heaters take 3 hands to install a wick!!Picture 17 shows all the metal tab "teeth" that grabs onto the wick and holds the wick in place for moving up and down the heaters wick post in the center of the heater. These teeth makes wick changing a breeze because you simply remove the old wick from the teeth and install a brand new wick into the teeth. To make it easier, the new wick will have a black ring around the wick that aligns up with the bottom of the wick adjuster metal band. Follow the line around the band and your done!! EPA recommends wick changes every year but many people go longer! These wick adjusters are much easier than the new junk heaters being sold in the stores today with the spring loaded style. Those type of wick adjusters are very difficult to change a wick with pins. You need 3 hands to do it!!!Picture 18 shows the top of the wick adjuster being completely clean of all contamination that builds up over the many years of use. I clean these thoroughly, inside and out, and make sure these are 100% perfect. Old kerosene can gel and gum up the interior parts and old contamination on the surface can give off bad odors and smoke. I make sure the wick adjusters are perfect and will last another 50+ years!! Like I stated earlier....I make sure my heaters are like brand new before I sell them!! Interior parts are more important than outside appearance. Picture 19 Pictured here is the back of this heater. Notice the chrome handle that makes moving this heater from room to room easy. This heater appears to look like new with the bright chrome. MICA WINDOWS are extremely clean and clear....you can easily see through both windows to see the sign in the back!! These are oversized windows that will fill your room with that beautiful orange moonlight glow, similar to a fireplace but without the mess!! Notice the bottom fuel tank, holding the battery case, that accepts the 2 "D" batteries to power the electronic igniter. Batteries are not included. Add 2 batteries and then simply push the front lever to light the wick. ORIGINAL manufacturers labels are in place all around the heater with much of the needed information. This heater has 2 VERY large Mica Windows that produce a very nice moonlight glow as well as the top slots in the heaters chimney tower at the top.
