Description: Estate-find This discontinued vintage tea cup and saucer are from the Ken Edwards Pottery Art Collection, and has a blue swan, bird and a butterfly inside the cup. Made during the 1960's-1970's. Cup holds 8oz to the rim, and measures 2 1/2" tall and 4 7/8" across including handle. Saucer is 6 5/8" across. Mint condition without crazing, chips, cracks, or breaks. In the 1960s, Ken Edwards set up a shop in the village of Tonala, in Central Mexico, where he founded the company known as Ken Edwards Stoneware. I have several boxes of vintage Ken Edwards dinnerware, cups, saucers, and plates that I will be listing separately. Please see my other listings. Most pieces are signed with a KE for Ken Edwards, but KE may not always be present. You will often find another animal, fish, or insect as a secondary signature, and if KE isn't found, look for the secondary signature. It could be a Scorpion, Swan, Bird, Snail, Spider, Crane, Swallow, Fish, and Mouse are all signatures of the talented artists that worked at Ken Edward's shop. Please note that every piece is an individual work of art and not exactly alike. It is impossible to obtain a set of exact copies. The beauty of a set of dinnerware from Ken Edwards is that each plate, each cup, and each bowl is different. Shipping discounts are available when possible, on multiple item orders.
