Description: This is a Hildoceras sp fossil ammonite collected from Whitby, Yorkshire, England. The specimen is a good size and has been well prepared to show good detail and preservation. Specimen does have a repair (see pictures). Jurassic, approx 180 million years old. Ammonite measures approx 12.3cm in diameter, with the entire specimen approx 16.5cm x 14.8cm x 6cm.
