He studied art in London and in several centres on the continent, eventually becoming principal of Hornsey School of Art, 1926–47. Was president of SGA and Society of Sussex Artists, in 1954. Exhibited at RA, RI, RE, ROI and Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, as well as provincial, continental and American galleries. His work was exquisite and academic, mainly of architectural subjects, although he was fond of nature study watercolours. Moody’s coloured drawings are reminiscent of the work of George Clausen.
