Description: The "Joe Cool" Cruiser SkateboardA late 70's Cruiser shape in 7 Ply Canadian maple with a hand painted Joe Cool skating image on the belly. This is truly a one off with Snoopy in his Joe Cool guise cruising the road. With a 15.5" wheelbase and 4.5" hanger trucks mounted on a single kicktail deck with a mellow concave, this board with is put together with street carving and cruising in mind.Robinwood Longboards and Cruisers are Handcrafted in our Eco-friendly, Off Grid Workshop and are made for Cruising, Carving, Commuting and Bombing hills. I progressed to making fibreglass then plywood decks as trends changed and changed again. I have spent my life since High School working in the timber industry. So I am now combining 2 of my life’s passions, timber and skateboarding. I search for beautiful pieces of timber with which to craft to great looking but functional “skateboard sculpture” that you will be proud to own.What we do differently: Where possible, we salvage, recycle and upcycle timber aiming to re-use a valuable natural resource and to reduce timber going to landfill. I then shape it into longboard, pintail, and various cruiser shapes and skateboard storage racks to give my customers something hand-made and unique to ride. We set up each board for our riders personally and offer advice based on skateboarding experience of more than 4 decades. We compost all of our clean wood shavings and sawdust at our premises and plant at least one tree on our land for every product sold. We want to provide skateboarders a different option to mass produced decks. Our solid timber decks are flat in profile with no concave or kicktail just like the real old school decks from the 60's and early 70's. Classic designs and feel to ride. Our Plywood decks are a combination of Canadian maple and some feature a layer of Australian Timber veneer and some are fibreglass reinforced.Our Customers: Some just love the look of our products whist some just want to make an environmentally responsible choice in their purchase. Others like the fact that they are dealing direct with the maker and some want a skateboard similar to what they rode in the 60’s and early 70’s. Our customers so far are men and women ranging in ages from 6 to 60 years of age. Skateboarding is for everyone!
