Description: A very collectible art multiple designed by the acclaimed American artist JENNY HOLZER. This limited edition wrapped latex condom is titled TENDERLY I WILL USE YOU and was inspired by a fragment of a Walt Whitman poem entitled Song Of Myself. The artist originally borrowed the phrase for her 2011 commission to design the granite floor pavers of the New York City AIDS Memorial. This custom designed art object was published in 2021 by Creator Projects (Copenhagen, DK) as part of their inaugural M.M.S. portfolio project. MMS (Much More Shit) features 12 art multiples by artists including Alexander Tovborg, Alicja Kwade, Daniel Buren, Hesselholdt & Mejlvang, Jenny Holzer, Jeppe Hein, Katharina Grosse, Martin Creed, Monster Chetwynd, Nico Vascellari, Tania Bruguera and Tosh Basco. It was released as an edition of 1000 portfolios and sold out very quickly. The MMS portfolio is inspired by the 1968 S.M.S. (Shit Must Stop) art publication/subscription, which was created by William Copley and Dmitri Petrov. This art multiple is in original mint condition and measures 2.25" x 2.175" (5.7 x 5.5 cm).
