No cracks on the base or metal pieces. It has its original cord and corded switch. Controlled bubble glass ball is excellent and shines a nice pattern. I will ship this with the pixie off of the marble base for safety. You will have to put the nut and washer on and tighten it. One pic. shows the stud that goes through the base. Nice lamp to just leave lit up as you can see it day or night that it is lighted.
