Description: Beautiful Japanese Ema Prayer Board. It measures 6.875" wide, 4.50" tall and .375" deep and features a lovely painted pair of horses: one white horse and a smaller dark brown foal, with an orange cord for hanging. The front top right side writing says "good luck." The bottom right side text reads "family safety and takamaki prosperity" On the back of the wooden plaque the text is handwritten with the visit date to the shrine of January 2, 1983. The provenance of this ema is that the seller purchased this board in 1998 in Tokyo, Japan. At the time it was pre-owned. Condition is very good for a 40 year old piece.. The back of the plaque is clean with no scuff marks. The front of the plaque is clean. There is a very tiny scuff mark on the white horse's chest. Please see photos.
